The Faculty of Agriculture is part of many faculties for Al Balqa’ Applied University, it is distributed over a 100 acres land overlooking the Jordan Valley.


The project consists of designing a main road, 2.5 km length inside the borders of the faculty connecting all the facilities with the main road outside the site.

Five service roads, around 1 km length, are branches from the main road to serve the movement between the faculties and research centers with the Faculty of Agriculture.

10- Zarqa Free Zone Intersections Jordan - 2000

The study, preliminary and final design and tender documents of the three entrances for Zarqa Free Zone and the Section of Main Road infront of the Free Zone.

A traffic study was conducted on the Main Road and the locations of entrances/exists to Zarqa Free Zone to determine the existing classification of traffic and the traffic forecast for next 20 years. The traffic study comprised manual and automatic volume classification counts, Origin – Destination Survey and axle load measurements.

The Project comprises upgrading the Main Road, 7.5 km in length, Two lanes of width 9.00 m and shoulder 3.00 m infront of the Free Zone, separating through traffic from the traffic diverting to the Free Zone by means of an R.C. underpass of width 9 m, (two lanes) height of 5.5 m and length of 1.5 m infront of the Main Gate and at grade intersection infront of the entrance gate for the trucks entering the Free Zone.
