The design of airfield strips, runway, taxiway and aprons according to the criteria and recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The design also included airbase roads, water supply system, Sewage system, drainage and flood protection and soil investigation as well as material investigations for project 77 airforce bases. The total length of the runway is 3,650m with width of 45m, shoulders of 15m and LCN of 65. The secondary taxi-way has a total length of 3000m with width of 30m and shoulders of 10m and LCN of 65. The airbase roads which connects the base facilities has a total length of 14kms. The water supply system included a well pump, a ground reservoir and a water tower with 2 booster pumps and chlorination systems. The sewerage system included 3 sewage pumping stations to deliver the sewage to a nearby treatment plant. The Drainage and Flood Protection works included earth dikes and channels to protect airport facilities from flooding. The site investigation consisted of boring and pits throughout the area, sampling and testing programs to determine the soil classifications, C.B.R. of the materials on site.
