The Faculty of Agriculture is part of many faculties for Al Balqa’ Applied University, it is distributed over a 100 acres land overlooking the Jordan Valley.

The project consists of designing a main road, 2.5 km length inside the borders of the faculty connecting all the facilities with the main road outside the site.

Five service roads, around 1 km length, are branches from the main road to serve the movement between the faculties and research centers with the Faculty of Agriculture.

The work involved the following:

1) Horizontal and vertical alignment design, taking in consideration the geometric design standards.
2) Ditches, inlets and drainage structures along the road, keeping the storm water away from the road and pavement structure.
3) Guard-rails, U-turns, signing and marking along the road, to maintain safely.

The study, design and preparation of tender documents for the minor collector roads and two parking areas of 15,370 m2 as part of the project. The collector roads comprised of four sections in or nearby 2 villages in Petra Region in Jordan as follows:-

a- Al Falahat Road, connects Wadi Musa downtown to Taybeh road 1.4 km.

b- Al Nawafleh Road, connects Wadi Musa Spine Road to Al Nawafleh village 1.5 km.

c- Taybet Zaman Road, connects Taybet Zaman tourist village to Taybeh Spine Road 0.6 km.

d- Proposed Hospital Road, connects Taybeh Village to the proposed hospital area 1.6 km.

The total length of these roads is about 5.1 km. The study of design work also includes surface water drainage, landscaping, planting and street lighting.

The study, design and preparation of tender documents for the Inter urban roads including supervision of construction. The project comprises a total of nine road sections in or nearby six different cities in the West Bank as follows:-

a. Road 1, Southern Access Road to Ramallah City 4.3 km.
b. Road 2, Jerusalem - Hebron Road 7.0 km.
c. Road 3, Eastern Access Road to Nablus City 3.3 km.
d. Road 4, Eastern Access Road to Jericho City 1.6 km.
e. Road 5, Southern Access Road to Jenin City 1.3 km.
f. Road 6, Eastern Access Road to Tulkarem City 1.8 km
g. Road 7, Northern Access to Ramllah City 9.0 km, 4 lane divided.
h. Road 8, Western Access Road to Nablus City 6.3 km, 4 lane divided.
i. Road 9, Northern Access Road to Bethlehem City, 0.6 km.

The total length of these roads is about 35 km.

The study and design work also includes surface water drainage system, street lighting and several sewers crossings for future connections.

The design and preparation of tender documents for a 4 lane divided main road, 2.65 km long penetrating the town. The works included the study of the existing stormwater drainage systems and services and carrying out the required relocation and improvement, and designing a new stormwater drainage system. Works also included the design of new sewerage system and house connections within the road and a main trunk line serving the town with a total length of 6.5 kms.

The design and preparation of tender documents for stretches within two main roads in the town of Tulkarem. The total length of the stretches is 2.65 kms. The works included the geometric design, pavement design and complete signing and marking. The works included also the design of a new stormwater drainage system to eliminate the drainage problems and to protect the new works.

The preliminary design, final design and tender documents of 2.0 kms long 4 lanes each side divided Urban road in Beirut linking Airport Roundabout - Chatila Roundabout - Tayouni Roundabout. Also the design of 4 lane underpass and street lighting, traffic signals, signing and marking and roadway stormwater drainage.

The preliminary and final designs and preparation of tender documents for the service roads on both sides of Al-Moraqabat road 1.0 km long each for a total length of 2.0 kms. Parking areas footpaths and surface water drainage system were also designed.
