The services covered the detailed design and supervision for the construction of 77 Kms of secondary and tertiary distribution networks, 5315 service connections, and 35330 water meters. It included the preparation of feasibility study, investigation and data collection, topographic survey, hydraulic design including computer modeling for the whole network, preparation of detailed design and engineering drawings, land expropriation, environmental assessment, final design report and tender documents, preparation of documents for pre-qualification of contractors.

Services for the supervision of the construction works include: daily supervision of the works, follow up on expropriation files, review and approve contractor’s submittals, prepare regular progress reports, testing and commissioning of the facilities, review and approve O & M manuals and As-Built Drawings.

The services covered inventory of the assets of the Tripoli Water Authority, evaluation of water demand and water resources, assessment of water quality, preparation of hydraulic schematics for the current situation, identification of projects, preliminary study and cost estimates, prioritizing projects, and preparation of implementation schedules for the design, tendering, and construction.

Technical review of the preliminary and detailed study plan for the optimum use of the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers for potable water and irrigation. The Final Report included the following:

The proposed action plan included the integration of the wastewater services into the present services of the different water authorities through a proposed investment program for every water authority that covers all components of the hydraulic system.

The preliminary final design and contract documents and supervision of construction of this multi-million dollar project in Dubai. The project entailed the design and construction of over 330 kms of water supply transmission and distribution pipelines for the city of Dubai.

The pipe diameters ranged from dia 100 to dia 600mm and included the construction of butterfly and gate valve chambers as well as magnetic and ultrasonic bulk flow meters. The project also included the construction of over 30 thousand house connections including water meters, stopcocks and house connection pipework. This project was a 6 year duration project with a construction cost of 39.1 million USD.

The new networks included population projections and the water demands of each sector as well as designing the new water networks which included the designs of the Mains and House Connections.

Preliminary study phase included the study and evaluation of the existing transmission systems, future water demands, appraisal of existing hydrological studies and development of alternative solutions for ensuring adequate service to consumers.
